Experience the Taste of Homegrown
There is nothing better than a cup of coffee - the smell of aroma, the taste, and the feeling of comfort it gives. Coffee definitely gives me that kick to start my day and helps me to stay up late at night. If you are a coffeeholic like me, you would know what it means to live a day without coffee.
Last May 9, 2017, there's this one coffee shop in the South, in the sprawling foodie haven that is Aguirre in BF Homes, Parañaque who invited me to join their soft opening. Good thing, I lived one jeep away from the place so I checked it out myself.
Bo's Coffee is a proudly fully Filipino-owned cafe founded by Steve Benitez on 1996 in Cebu City, Philippines. It's name was originally came from an American citizen named "Bo", whom Steve Benitez met in the mid-1990s.
The place looked and felt so cozy because of their good lighting, plus their warm staff who never failed to smile whenever I happened to look at them or the other way around.
Bo's Coffee want everyone to feel the experience as you look for a nook and haven where students, friends, and families can study, bond, and share stories in a cozy and feel-at-home atmosphere over your favorite local brew.
The surroundings of Bo's Coffee also serves as a platform for local artistry and craft at its finest — from the chandeliers conceived by the worlds famous designer, Kenneth Cobonpue, to the aesthetic furnishings colorfully upholstered by ANTHILL Fabric Gallery.
"Each coffee shop serves window and platform for our homegrown partners, whose quality products may be quite unfamiliar to some. Among them are Tsaa Laya, Bayani Brew (iced tea and beverages), and Theo and Philo (chocolates)," said Coochy Mamaclay, Bo's Coffee VP for Brand & Marketing.
"In our vow to share the great Philippine coffee experience, every cup you sip also nurtures and cultivates social enterprises and builds communities, a commitment, and advocacy we take seriously. We serve coffee cup-to-cup freshness using only quality coffee beans from these local and sustainable sources," the Bo's Coffee official added.
As "Your Homegrown Brew", Bo's Coffee's point of pride is that all of its coffee beans are sourced locally from highland farmers in Mount Matutum in Tupi, South Cotabato, Mount Kitanglad in Bukidnon, Sagada, Mount Apo and Benguet.
One thing I loved about Bo's Coffee, they have taken an oath, a "panata", to give their best to their customers. Unlike all the other famous coffee shops out there, when your orders are already made, they don't call for your attention, but instead they will approach and serve you your order with a smile.
Meet Sir Carl, the one who demonstrated and taught us how to make, brew, and taste coffee.
I, too, tried brewing coffee.
Bo's Coffee is also known for their delicious meals. They have served us their best-selling foods that day.

ReplyDeleteI haven't tried their coffee because there's no Bo's coffee near my place. However, I'm into coffee these past few months. I'll surely try a cup of coffee from them. :)
