Confusion Diner - Taste the F

BF Homes in Parañaque was said to be the biggest residential subdivision in Asia, with hundreds and thousands of households. I don't know if it still is. One thing is obvious, however: Its main artery, Aguirre Avenue, has been left to metamorphose on its own commercial steam. It was as if the neighborhood woke up one day and yikes, it’s now all restaurants, fastfoods, bars, takeout counters, etc.

I was invited to join the soft opening of this one restaurant along Aguirre Avenue in BF Homes. I used to eat and chill in BF but I haven't heard about this, that's why I really really want to check it out myself.

Confusion Diner is a Filipino-American restaurant headed by partners Nadine Almario, Mylah Quezon and Jordan Ongtangco. It is located along Aguirre Avenue in BF Homes, Parañaque. "Con" is a Spanish for 'with'. The red "F" represents the Filipino touch. All that they do and create will have an essence of that touch. And Fusion is the combination of the owner's ideas.

The first thing that caught my attention was their new interior. There are classic and modern Pinoy films all around the walls. And though there are many people dining that night, the place still looked and felt so cozy because of their good lighting. Plus their warm staff who never failed to smile whenever I happened to look at them or the other way around.

I liked everything about their food, from their plating and presentation, to its imaginative pairing of ingredients and flavors. It had a fun and quirky twist, which I really liked.

S T A R T E R S

Crispy Calamari, 180
From the sea, to their kitchen, to the table, to our belly, crispy squid calamari is served with garlic aioli.

Loaded Potato Chips, 150
Their homemade goodness just got a lot better. Served with mouthwatering chili longganisa and cheese sauce, you can't go wrong.

Sriracha Wings, 160
Classic crisp chicken wings tossed in hot and flavorful Sriracha sauce. Warning: This is hella spicy!

Tocino Wings, 160
The marriage of the two of the greatest food items! Chicken wings tossed and covered with Tocino flavoured sauce served with ranch sauce. Wow. Just wow!

Sisig Quesadilla, 160
Also known as One More Chance. Feeling broke? This food is for you! A tale of two classic taste, when Marimar meets Panday! Crispy sisig folded in a crisp white tortilla served with cheese and ranch.

Ribeye Pares, 250
In case you're wondering if this item got lost or something, actually not! Their take on a classic pinoy fare but with all upgrades and flavor. MangPupung would be proud!

Fish and Chips, 185
When the Beatles clash with Eraserheads! Britain's well loved street-food goes head on with Pinoy's favorite smoked milkfish.

Baked Fish, 200
My newest favorite meal! The reason why Nemo can't find Dory is because Dory has been satisfying human palate through this baked dish; its cheesy, it's creamy and it's so damn good!

Strawberry Milkshake, 100 & Iced Tea, 100

So if you find yourself bored and nowhere to go, an itch to try something new, a craving for some Filipino-American food or looking for a sweet treat, this place is highly recommended! The food are always freshly prepared and the meat.. the meat is always soft!

Thank you so much Confusion Diner for having me and thank you for the 500 peso worth of gift certificate! I'm definitely going back again soon!
